Travel Guide And Cultural Exposure!

Inge Rosadi
A travel guide gets to meet a number of tourists on regular basis and his job is to travel to different places with the tourists. This might appear as an ideal job for some though it must also be kept in mind that it is not easy to be a travel guide. Being a travel guide is a fun job because it enlightens you and people in your group regarding the cultural beauty of a certain place. Other than getting to know the importance of cultural heritage, one gets to know the historical significance of a place as well.

Cultural acceptance and language

Travel guide usually knows various languages and they are pro in terms of local language. If you ever get a chance to visit Japanese, you will get to learn the beauty of the Japanese language. Every language has its own cultural significance. The Japanese language helps you understand your own culture. It improves your cognitive skills and communication skills as well. If you follow up on another culture, it will help you heighten your extent of knowledge that languages and cultures vary.

Cultural shock and how to deal with it?

Many people share their experience of culture shock and how they found the other cultures extremely different from their culture. Therefore, it is important to understand the importance of various factors that can serve as a cultural shock. Every culture has its own beauty and every culture represents beauty and history of a certain place. Culture is basically set of ideas and concepts that must be taken into account while understanding the culture of any place.

Application to different academic subjects

As a student, learning Japanese helps you gain broader perspectives, higher thinking skills and new learning strategies that you can apply to your other academic subjects. Getting enrolled in various programs can help you in understanding the deep-rooted concepts of different cultures and languages. The best way to understand any culture is to stay close to the people of that culture. Travel guides are normally local and they are accustomed to the language and culture.
